Contest Time Has Arrived At Chez Midwest!

Posted on: August 19, 2010

Any excuse for a contest is my motto.

And this time it’s because my blog has had over 30,000 hits.

Not exactly sure why I have so many hits but let’s be honest, it’s likely to due to my blog name having the word ‘midwest’ in it, and not because of my prolific writing.

Regardless, it’s a great excuse to give away a few yarn prizes (I’m a yarn snob so the yarn will be nice, trust me), a coffee cozy or three, and a pretty pincushion.
The coffee cozy’s and pincushion will be made by moi.

That would be me.

  1. Leave a comment at this post with a list of 10 favorite things you like about summer. Be glad I didn’t ask for 30 to go along with the 30,000 hits. Ten should be a breeze. Hey, there’s one you might like – a cool breeze!
  2. You must include a valid email address or I can’t contact you should you win. When you leave a comment, one requirement the system asks for is an email address. Your email address will not be visible to other visitors to this site, only to me.
  3. Any comment left WITHOUT an email address will not be included in the drawing.
  4. A random number generator will be used to determine 7 winners. The first comment left will be number one, the second comment number two, etc…

3:33 p.m., CST, September 3, 2010

(Trying to work in that ‘3’ thing.)

Winners will be drawn and published on blog on
Saturday, September 4, 2010

I will contact winners via email, everyone will have one week to respond with a snail mail address. If I do not hear from a winner after one week, I will draw a new number/winner to send your prize to – so be sure to watch your email should you be a winner!

If you’d like to see what a coffee cozy looks like or the style of pincushion I will be making, see below.
